Ditching Dieting in Menopause: Why I chose the Non Diet Approach.

Adopting the non diet approach is kind, and inclusive. Diets are not always kind, or inclusive.

I use the Non Diet approach, with Mindful Eating, to help menopausal women find more harmony, more FULLNESS, in thier bodies, and in their life.

This framework that applies to anybody, and any BODY.

YES, you CAN start to dig in, even if you're on a diet.

I think that’s how most people come to diet ditching, through a mix of curiosity and frustration and also skepticism.

We are taught to value a certain type of body, for health, for looks and for fitting in. We are now bombarded with ads about weight loss in menopause. including shame messages like “ditch the quarantine 15” “take your life back” by losing weight, 🙄 or promises about working on your psychology, with numerically limited meal plans —> calorie counting.

This episode shares a few of my reasons for approaching my health the non diet way:

  • This approach is HOLISTIC, whereas dieting is not.

  • It gets to the emotions and feelings wrapped up in food. 

  • It honors your desires, as a person and as an eater.

  • It helps you ACCEPT your body.

  • The Non Diet Approach works toward health, MORE that diets ever will.
